| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by adding |
| 5 |
| Section 5-27 as follows:
|

| (105 ILCS 230/5-27 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 5-27. Local building codes. All school construction |
| 8 |
| projects financed pursuant to this Law are subject to |
| 9 |
| applicable local building codes.
|
| 10 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 11 |
| becoming law.
