Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that a person who knowingly and falsely represents himself to be fire fighter of any jurisdiction commits a Class 4 felony. Provides that a person who knowingly and falsely represents himself to be a fire fighter of any jurisdiction in attempting or committing a felony commits a Class 3 felony.

| AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding |
| 5 |
| Sections 32-5.4 and 32-5.5 as follows: |

| Sec. 32-5.4. False personation of a fire fighter. A person |
| 8 |
| who knowingly and falsely represents himself to be fire fighter |
| 9 |
| of any jurisdiction commits a Class 4 felony. |

| 11 |
| Sec. 32-5.5. Aggravated false personation of a fire |
| 12 |
| fighter. A person who knowingly and falsely represents himself |
| 13 |
| to be a fire fighter of any jurisdiction in attempting or |
| 14 |
| committing a felony commits a Class 3 felony.
