| AN ACT concerning health.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Vital Records Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 2. There is hereby established in the Department of |
| 8 |
| Public Health an

Office of Vital Records which shall |
| 9 |
| install, maintain, and operate the
system of vital records |
| 10 |
| throughout this State.

| Suitable quarters for this office shall be provided by the |
| 12 |
| Secretary of
State, which quarters shall be so equipped as to |
| 13 |
| permit the permanent and
safe preservation of all official |
| 14 |
| records required for the operation of the
system.
