| AN ACT concerning gaming.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |

| Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 |
| amended by adding Section 605-812 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 605/605-812 new)
|
| 8 |
| Sec. 605-812. Cessation of riverboat gambling; job |
| 9 |
| retraining. If a riverboat gambling facility ceases operations |
| 10 |
| in a particular area of the State, then the Department shall |
| 11 |
| provide a grant to the local community college district to |
| 12 |
| provide job retraining to former employees of the riverboat |
| 13 |
| gambling facility.

| Section 10. The Riverboat Gambling Act is repealed.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July |

| 1, 2007.
