AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2375

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2375 as follows:

on page 9, lines 10 and 11, by deleting "of item (1) of this 
4
subsection (C)"; and
 
5
on page 10, line 5, by replacing "affiliates shall offer an" 
6
with "affiliates that offer health insurance coverage in the 
7
individual market in Illinois shall offer"; and
 
8
on page 10, line 6, by replacing "benefit plan" with "insurance 
9
coverage"; and
 
10
on page 10, by replacing line 7 with "who were covered by the 
11
discontinued health insurance coverage on the date of the 
12
notice provided to affected individuals under subdivision 
13
(iii) of subparagraph (a) of this item (2)"; and
 
14
on page 10, by deleting lines 10 through 12; and
 
15
on page 10, by replacing line 13 with the following:
16
    "(d) Subject to subparagraph (e) of this item (2),"; and
 
17
on page 10, line 19, by replacing "(f)" with "(e)"; and

on page 10, line 25, before the period, by inserting ", and may

include in any coverage issued under subparagraph (c) any

waivers or limitations of coverage that were included in the 
3
individual's prior contract or policy"; and

on page 11, immediately below line 2, by inserting the 
5
following:

    "The changes to this Section made by this amendatory Act of 
7
the 94th General Assembly apply only to discontinuances of 
8
coverage occurring on or after the effective date of this 
9
amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly."; and

on page 11, immediately below line 23, by inserting the 
11
following:

    "This Section applies only to discontinuances of coverage 
13
occurring on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act 
14
of the 94th General Assembly.".
