AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2414

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2414, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
4
1, on page 4, by replacing lines 7 through 12 with the 
5
following:

    "(c) This Section does not apply to a person who possessed 
7
a weapon or attachment prohibited by subsection (b) before the 
8
effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General 
9
Assembly.  On or after the effective date of this amendatory Act 
10
of the 94th General Assembly, such person may transfer such 
11
weapon or attachment only to a dealer licensed as a federal 
12
firearms dealer under Section 923 of the federal Gun Control 
13
Act of 1968."; and

by replacing lines 30 through 33 on page 5 and lines 1 through 
15
3 on page 6 with the following:

    "(c) This Section does not apply to a person who possessed

a device prohibited by subsection (b) before the effective date 
18
of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly.  On or 
19
after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th 
20
General Assembly, such person may transfer such device only to 
21
a dealer licensed as a federal firearms dealer under Section 
22
923 of the federal Gun Control Act of 1968.".
