| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2449

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2449 on page 1, by |
| 3 |
| replacing line 6 with the following: |

| "Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act: |
| 5 |
| "Commission" means the Illinois Commerce Commission."; and
|
| 6 |
| on page 2, by replacing lines 4 through 6 with the following: |
| 7 |
| "(e) The Commission has exclusive jurisdiction to |
| 8 |
| determine violations of this Section. If, after a proper |
| 9 |
| complaint and hearing, the Commission determines that a |
| 10 |
| violation has occurred, the Commission shall impose, for each |
| 11 |
| violation, a penalty in an amount not exceeding $10,000. This |
| 12 |
| penalty is the exclusive remedy for any violation of this |
| 13 |
| Section. The Commission shall give priority to any complaint |
| 14 |
| alleging a violation of this Section and shall issue its |
| 15 |
| decision as promptly as possible.".
