| AN ACT concerning the State government.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 9 as follows:
|

| Sec. 9. Criminal Justice Information Systems Trust Fund. |
| 8 |
| The special
fund in the State Treasury known as the Criminal |
| 9 |
| Justice Information Systems
Trust Fund shall
shall be funded in |
| 10 |
| part from users' fees collected from
criminal justice agencies |
| 11 |
| that are the users of information systems developed
and |
| 12 |
| operated for them by the Authority.
The users' fees shall be |
| 13 |
| based on pro rated shares according to the share
of operating |
| 14 |
| cost that is attributed to each agency, as determined
by the |
| 15 |
| Authority. The General Assembly shall make an appropriation |
| 16 |
| from
the Criminal Justice Information Systems Trust Fund for |
| 17 |
| the operating expenses
of the Authority incident to providing |
| 18 |
| the services described in this Section.
