| AN ACT concerning civil law.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Innkeepers Lien Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 48 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 48. Hotel, inn and
and boarding house keepers shall |
| 8 |
| have a lien upon the
baggage and other valuables of their |
| 9 |
| guests or boarders brought into such
hotel, inn or boarding |
| 10 |
| house by such guests or boarders, for the proper
charges due |
| 11 |
| from such guests or boarders for their accommodations, board
|
| 12 |
| and lodgings and such extras as are furnished at their request. |
