| AN ACT concerning drug courts.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Drug Court Treatment Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 40 as follows:
|

| (730 ILCS 166/40 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 40. Education seminars for judges. The Administrative |
| 8 |
| Office of the Illinois Courts shall conduct education seminars |
| 9 |
| for judges throughout the State on how to operate drug court |
| 10 |
| programs with a specific emphasis on cases involving the |
| 11 |
| illegal possession of methamphetamine.

| 12 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July |
| 13 |
| 1, 2005.
