| AN ACT concerning education.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The College Student Immunization Act is amended |
5 |
| by changing Section 1 as follows:
|

| (110 ILCS 20/1) (from Ch. 144, par. 2601)
|

| Sec. 1. Definitions. For the purposes of this Act:
|
8 |
| (a) "Department" means the Illinois Department of Public |
9 |
| Health.
|
10 |
| (b) "Post-secondary educational institution" means a |
11 |
| public or private
college or university offering degrees and |
12 |
| instruction above the high
school level, and shall include, but |
13 |
| not be limited to, any and all private
colleges and |
14 |
| universities, the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois
|
15 |
| University,
Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois |
16 |
| University, Governors State
University, Illinois State |
17 |
| University, Northeastern Illinois University,
Northern |
18 |
| Illinois University, Western Illinois University, and
any |
19 |
| other public university now or hereafter established or |
20 |
| authorized by
the General Assembly; except that a |
21 |
| post-secondary educational institution
does not mean or |
22 |
| include any public or private college or university that does |
23 |
| not provide
on-campus housing for its students in dormitories |
24 |
| or equivalent facilities that
are owned, operated, and |
25 |
| maintained by the public or private college or university.
|

| The term shall not include any public or private junior or |
27 |
| community
college, or any institution offering degrees and |
28 |
| instruction which utilizes
correspondence as its primary mode |
29 |
| of student instruction.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |

| becoming law.
