| AN ACT concerning public aid.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 5-5.25 as follows:
|

| (305 ILCS 5/5-5.25 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 5-5.25. Rates for home health services. On and after |
| 8 |
| July 1, 2006, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services |
| 9 |
| shall reimburse providers of home health services under this |
| 10 |
| Article using a phased-in rate increase as follows: |
| 11 |
| (1) For services provided from July 1, 2006 through |
| 12 |
| June 30, 2007, the rate shall be $70 per visit. |
| 13 |
| (2) For services provided on or after July 1, 2007, the |
| 14 |
| rate shall be $80 per visit. |
| 15 |
| These rate increases apply to skilled nursing visits, |
| 16 |
| physical therapy visits, occupational therapy visits, and |
| 17 |
| speech therapy visits. The rate for home health aide visits |
| 18 |
| shall be $61.34 for all such services provided on or after July |
| 19 |
| 1, 2006.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 21 |
| becoming law.
