SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $1,400,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a grant to Community College District No. 508 to award $200,000 to each community college in the district to employ a coordinator and a recruiter to assist inner-city minority students in transferring to public universities in this State. Effective July 1, 2006.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $1,400,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a grant to Community College District No. 508 to award $200,000 to each community college in the district to employ a coordinator and a recruiter to assist inner-city minority students in transferring to public universities in this State.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2006.
