AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4406

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4406 as follows:

on page 1, lines 7 through 9, by replacing "For his or her 
4
first year of full-time attendance at an institution of higher 
5
learning, a" with "A"; and

on page 1, line 9, by replacing "$1,000 grant" with "renewable 
7
$1,000 grant for each year he or she is enrolled full-time at 
8
an institution of higher learning";  and
 
9
on page 1, line 11, after "if", by inserting ", at the time of 
10
initial application for the grant,"; and

on page 1, line 16, by replacing "3.0" with "2.7"; and

on page 1, line 22, after the period, by inserting the 
13
following:

"The Commission may adopt any rules necessary to carry out its 
15
responsibilities under this Section.".
