| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4414 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |

| 22-40 as follows:

| (105 ILCS 5/22-40 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 22-40. Prohibition on police line-ups and mug photo |
| 8 |
| shoots. No school official or law enforcement agency may |
| 9 |
| recruit or compel a public school student to participate in a |
| 10 |
| police line-up, mock police line-up, or mug photograph shoot |
| 11 |
| while on school grounds or at a school-sponsored activity |
| 12 |
| without the permission of the student's parent or guardian. |
| 13 |
| This Section does not apply to the subject of an investigation |
| 14 |
| who is under arrest.

| 15 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 16 |
| 2006.".
