    AN ACT concerning insurance.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended  by adding 
5
Section 368f as follows:

    (215 ILCS 5/368f  new)

    Sec. 368f. Premium increase notification. An insurer 
8
providing policies of group health insurance shall provide a 
9
detailed statement to its insureds when increasing policy 
10
premiums providing reasons for the increase. The statement must 
11
include specific factors and calculations necessitating the 
12
increase in premiums.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
14
becoming law.
