| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5216
|

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5216 on page 2, by |
| 3 |
| inserting immediately below line 35, the following: |
| 4 |
| "(g) A motor vehicle seized under this Section may not be |
| 5 |
| sold until the person whose motor vehicle was used in the |
| 6 |
| commission of the offense of stalking or aggravated stalking is |
| 7 |
| convicted of that offense. If the person is found not guilty of |
| 8 |
| the offense of stalking or aggravated stalking or the charges |
| 9 |
| are dismissed against that person, the motor vehicle shall be |
| 10 |
| returned to the person entitled to possession of the seized |
| 11 |
| vehicle and the law enforcement department or agency that |
| 12 |
| seized the vehicle shall pay the storage costs for the vehicle |
| 13 |
| during the period of seizure.".
