    Amends the Department of Veterans Affairs Act.  Requires the Department to create and operate a veterans' home at the Lincoln Developmental Center for veterans with Alzheimer's disease. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning veterans.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Department of Veterans Affairs Act is 
5
amended  by adding Section 2h as follows:

    (20 ILCS 2805/2h  new)
7
    Sec. 2h. Home for veterans with Alzheimer's disease.  The 
8
Department shall create and operate a veterans' home at the 
9
Lincoln Developmental Center for veterans with Alzheimer's 
10
disease.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
12
becoming law.
