| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, During the 93rd General Assembly the Illinois |
| 3 |
| Donor Authorization Task Force was established pursuant to |
| 4 |
| House Joint Resolution 34 for the purpose of examining current |
| 5 |
| Illinois statutes and programs regarding organ and tissue |
| 6 |
| donation and making recommendations to the General Assembly |
| 7 |
| concerning Donor Authorization; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The Task Force report included the recommendation |
| 9 |
| that several issues related to organ and tissue donation be |
| 10 |
| studied further before making any final recommendations to the |
| 11 |
| General Assembly; therefore, be it
|
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 14 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Illinois Donor |
| 15 |
| Authorization Task Force is extended for the purpose of |
| 16 |
| considering those issues related to organ and tissue donation |
| 17 |
| identified in its prior report as needing further study before |
| 18 |
| making any final recommendations to the General Assembly and |
| 19 |
| for considering and making recommendations related to any other |
| 20 |
| issues the Task force believes are relevant to the goal of |
| 21 |
| increasing organ and tissue donation in Illinois; and be it |
| 22 |
| further
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, That the Illinois Donor Authorization Task Force |
| 24 |
| shall summarize its findings and recommendations in a report to |
| 25 |
| the General Assembly on or before December 31, 2005.
