| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with great sadness of the death in |
| 4 |
| Iraq of Lance Corporal Hector Ramos of Aurora on Wednesday, |
| 5 |
| January 26, 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Hector Ramos was a 2003 graduate of |
| 7 |
| East Aurora High School; he was a favorite student among both |
| 8 |
| faculty and classmates; he was an avid fan of the arts, and he |
| 9 |
| was in the honors art and honors drama classes; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Ramos was a responsible and |
| 11 |
| reliable young man, serving as the 2002-2003 President of the |
| 12 |
| D.E.C.A. Club, a cooperative work-study program; after he |
| 13 |
| graduated, he pursued his high school dream of serving his |
| 14 |
| country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Lance Corporal Hector Ramos has |
| 16 |
| been deeply felt by many, especially his mother, Nancy; his |
| 17 |
| father, Aurelio; and his brothers, Isiah and Noah; therefore, |
| 18 |
| be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we mourn the passing of Lance Corporal Hector Ramos, and we |
| 22 |
| extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who |
| 23 |
| knew and loved him; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Lance Corporal Ramos |
| 25 |
| and his willingness to serve his country, which led to him |
| 26 |
| making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincere |
| 29 |
| condolences for their loss.
