| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Illinois is a leader in all businesses and |
| 3 |
| industries; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Information technology plays an important role in |
| 5 |
| this State in business, State government, and education; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The impact of information technology on society is |
| 7 |
| more important now than ever; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, All sectors of society in this State benefit when |
| 9 |
| information can move at the speed of light; therefore, be it
|
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 11 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 12 |
| the House of Representatives recommends that the Governor name |
| 13 |
| an Illinois Technology Czar to coordinate State government |
| 14 |
| information technology, create a better State information |
| 15 |
| technology infrastructure, and recommend to the Governor and to |
| 16 |
| the General Assembly important technological changes within |
| 17 |
| State government; and be it further
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 |
| delivered to the Governor.
