| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives congratulate Ed Zabrocki on his retirement |
| 4 |
| from Brother Rice High School at the end of the school year; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Brother Rice High School is located in Chicago and |
| 7 |
| embraces the essential elements of Christian Brother education |
| 8 |
| and is named in honor of the founder of the Christian Brothers, |
| 9 |
| Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Zabrocki has served Brother Rice High School,
|
| 11 |
| its students, parents, faculty, and staff since 1965; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, In addition to teaching English, he also served as |
| 13 |
| a guidance counselor, a department chair, and an advisor to |
| 14 |
| three principals on the Principals Advisory Committee; he also |
| 15 |
| initiated the Brother Rice/Mother McAuley College Night, |
| 16 |
| originated and coordinated the Midwest Association of Catholic |
| 17 |
| Colleges, and originated and coordinated Alumni Career Day; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, He and his wife, Emily, have two sons, Edward |
| 19 |
| (Marle) and Jonathon (Jenny), and three grandchildren, Emily, |
| 20 |
| Faith, and William; therefore, be it
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 22 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 23 |
| we congratulate
and express our deepest appreciation to Ed |
| 24 |
| Zabrocki for his four decades of dedication to Brother Rice |
| 25 |
| High School and its students and we wish him all the best in |
| 26 |
| his retirement; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to Ed Zabrocki as an expression of our admiration and |
| 29 |
| esteem.
