| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Chiszar, a 30-year resident of the Village |
| 3 |
| of Mokena, has served the Village as a public official for 24 |
| 4 |
| years; he was first elected as a Village Trustee in 1981 and |
| 5 |
| served in that capacity for 16 years; he was then elected as |
| 6 |
| President of the Village of Mokena in 1997 and has served in |
| 7 |
| this capacity for two terms, completing his second term in |
| 8 |
| April of 2005; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Among his many achievements are the delivery of |
| 10 |
| Lake Michigan water, wastewater treatment plant expansions, |
| 11 |
| Police Department facilities, road and interchange |
| 12 |
| improvements, the implementation of a sales tax increase |
| 13 |
| utilized for road improvements, residential developments, and |
| 14 |
| downtown business area development; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Mayor Robert Chiszar has chosen to retire from |
| 16 |
| public office as of May 9, 2005; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 18 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 19 |
| we congratulate Mayor Chiszar on the occasion of his |
| 20 |
| retirement, and we thank him for his many years of devoted |
| 21 |
| service to the citizens of the Village of Mokena; and be it |
| 22 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to Mayor Chiszar as an expression of our respect and |
| 25 |
| esteem.
