| WHEREAS, Father, husband, foreman, and entrepreneur are |

| only a few titles Wiley Albert Canty has earned; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Wiley Canty happily retired from United States |
| 5 |
| Steel Mill in 1981 after 35 years as a well-recognized foreman; |
| 6 |
| and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He shared a reputable interior decorating |
| 8 |
| business with his late twin brother and his son entitled Canty & |
| 9 |
| Canty & Son; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, During this time, Mr. Canty played an intricate |
| 11 |
| part in his children's education; he instilled education in all |
| 12 |
| his children and supported all their dreams; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He has always been active in his church, |
| 14 |
| community, and politics; he is quite a conversationalist; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, His biggest driving force is to improve the |
| 16 |
| community and his biggest contribution to the world is in |
| 17 |
| helping others; he has given monumental time and effort to |
| 18 |
| serving his community and in helping his fellow man, and this |
| 19 |
| is evident in the numerous service organizations in which he |
| 20 |
| actively participates:

| District, Steel Workers of America Retirees,

| WHEREAS, In addition to his civic contributions, he and his |
| 26 |
| late wife, Julia L. Canty, raised five children into productive |
| 27 |
| citizens; Mr. Canty currently resides in Chicago with his wife, |
| 28 |
| Arnette, and they are enjoying their seven children, |
| 29 |
| grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other |
