| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to honor citizens who have |
| 4 |
| achieved recognition for their hard work; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. David Peek is a recipient of a Spotlight on |
| 6 |
| Achievement Award given by the Secretary of State/Illinois |
| 7 |
| State Library Literacy Office and the Illinois Press |
| 8 |
| Association; the Spotlight on Achievement Award recognizes |
| 9 |
| outstanding progress made by literacy students or families; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Peek is a literacy student from Kaskaskia |
| 11 |
| College; he will receive the Spotlight on Achievement Award |
| 12 |
| during ceremonies held on May 20, 2005; therefore, be it
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 15 |
| we congratulate Mr. David Peek on receiving a Spotlight on |
| 16 |
| Achievement Award given by the Secretary of State/Illinois |
| 17 |
| State Library Literacy Office and the Illinois Press |
| 18 |
| Association, and we applaud the hard work required to receive |
| 19 |
| such an honor; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to Mr. Peek as an expression of our respect and |
| 22 |
| esteem.
