| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate James Kingston on |
| 4 |
| the occasion of his retirement as mayor of Paxton after a |
| 5 |
| record-setting 28 years in office; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mayor Kingston is the youngest person ever elected |
| 7 |
| mayor of Paxton and the man who held the job the longest; he |
| 8 |
| was first elected mayor at age 32; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He has been mayor since May 1, 1977, and will give |
| 10 |
| up his office at the end of his present four-year term, which |
| 11 |
| concludes April 30, 2005; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He is retiring from both his elected position as |
| 13 |
| mayor and his regular full-time job at AmerenCIPS; therefore, |
| 14 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 |
| we congratulate Mayor James Kingston on the occasion of his |
| 18 |
| retirement, and we thank him for his many dedicated years of |
| 19 |
| service to his constituents; and be it further
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 |
| presented to Mayor Kingston as an expression of our deepest |
| 22 |
| respect and esteem and with best wishes for a relaxing |
| 23 |
| retirement.
