| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, Guy Sell has served New Lenox Township for the |
| 3 |
| past 28 years, being first elected as Township Trustee in 1977; |
| 4 |
| and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, In 1981, he was appointed as New Lenox Township |
| 6 |
| Supervisor and has served in this capacity ever since; he has |
| 7 |
| announced his retirement from this elected office as of April |
| 8 |
| 30, 2005; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sell has dedicated himself to serving the |
| 10 |
| residents of New Lenox Township; his many accomplishments over |
| 11 |
| the years have ranged from providing a township bus service on |
| 12 |
| week days, sponsoring a food pantry and Operation Santa Claus |
| 13 |
| programs to help needy families, and spearheading the building |
| 14 |
| of a senior citizens residential center; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He also helped sponsor and underwrite a Meals on |
| 16 |
| Wheels food program for homebound residents; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Besides directing New Lenox Township affairs, he |
| 18 |
| has served as president of the Will County Township Officers |
| 19 |
| Association for several years; he was also a leader in the |
| 20 |
| establishment of New Lenox leadership meetings that bring |
| 21 |
| together monthly representatives of all local government |
| 22 |
| agencies to share reports on goals and projects; therefore, be |
| 23 |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 25 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 26 |
| we offer our sincere appreciation to Guy Sell for his many |
| 27 |
| years of dedicated and conscientious public service to New |
| 28 |
| Lenox Township and its senior citizens and wish him good health |
| 29 |
| and happiness in his retirement; and be it further
