| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, Mr. Timothy Harrington of Waukegan is retiring |
| 3 |
| from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of |
| 4 |
| Victory Health Services, the parent company of Vista Health, a |
| 5 |
| joint operating company which includes Victory Memorial |
| 6 |
| Hospital and Saint Therese Medical Center; and |
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He began his work with the Victory Memorial |
| 8 |
| Hospital in 1988 as President and Chief Executive Officer; he |
| 9 |
| also became president of Victory's parent corporation, Victory |
| 10 |
| Health Services, in 1989; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, During his tenure as President and Chief Executive |
| 12 |
| Officer, he has developed numerous programs and services, |
| 13 |
| including the HealthReach Clinic in Waukegan, the Mecca Clinic |
| 14 |
| in Lake County, and Vista Health in Waukegan, which is a joint |
| 15 |
| operating company joining Victory Memorial Hospital and Saint |
| 16 |
| Therese Medical Center into one organization; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Prior to coming to Illinois, he was President of |
| 18 |
| Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, as |
| 19 |
| well as Executive Vice President of St. Joseph Hospital in |
| 20 |
| Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Harrington is a current member of the |
| 22 |
| Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council and a fellow of the |
| 23 |
| American College of Healthcare Executives; he is a board member |
| 24 |
| of the Illinois Hospital Association, the Chicago Hospital Risk |
| 25 |
| Pooling Program, Vista Health, and Victory Health Services; and
|
| 26 |
| WHEREAS, He valiantly served his country as a member of the |
| 27 |
| United States Army from 1963 to 1965 and received an honorable |
| 28 |
| discharge; and
|
| 29 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Harrington is a graduate of the program in |
