| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Sara Cast on |
| 4 |
| being named the Catlin Citizen of the Year by the Catlin Lions |
| 5 |
| Club; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Catlin Lions Club bestows the award annually |
| 7 |
| to a person who makes many contributions through volunteerism; |
| 8 |
| a banquet will be held on May 19, 2005, to honor Ms. Cast; this |
| 9 |
| is the 51st Citizen of the Year award, and she is the second |
| 10 |
| woman to receive the award; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Cast volunteers as the director of the Catlin |
| 12 |
| Heritage Museum; she is the chairwoman of the planning group |
| 13 |
| for Catlin's sesquicentennial celebration, scheduled for July |
| 14 |
| of 2006; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, In the past, she served on the Catlin School Board |
| 16 |
| for six years, on the village's planning commission, and on the |
| 17 |
| Catlin Historical Society Board; she was also a member of the |
| 18 |
| Catlin Junior Women's Club, was involved with the Organization |
| 19 |
| for Parents and Teachers, and delivered CRIS meals; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Cast has lived in Catlin for more than 30 |
| 21 |
| years and works part-time for the village; therefore, be it
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 23 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 24 |
| we congratulate Sara Cast on being named the Catlin Citizen of |
| 25 |
| the Year; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Ms. Cast as an expression of our deepest respect |
| 28 |
| and esteem.
