| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Ethnic |
| 4 |
| Heritage Museum of Rockford on the occasion of its 15th Annual |
| 5 |
| International Ethnic Music Festival on June 12, 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Diverse activities at the Ethnic Music Festival |
| 7 |
| include a pork chop dinner, ethnic dancers, ethnic music, |
| 8 |
| attendance prizes, a "Father of the Year" award, activities and |
| 9 |
| crafts for children, authentic ethnic costumes, and ethnic |
| 10 |
| galleries with artifacts from Irish, Italian, Polish, |
| 11 |
| Lithuanian, Latino, and African-American cultures; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Through the Ethnic Music Festival and its |
| 13 |
| year-round services, the Ethnic Heritage Museum of Rockford |
| 14 |
| does a great job in creating cultural awareness; therefore, be |
| 15 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 17 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 18 |
| we congratulate the Ethnic Heritage Museum of Rockford on the |
| 19 |
| occasion of its 15th Annual International Ethnic Music |
| 20 |
| Festival; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to the Ethnic Heritage Museum as an expression of our |
| 23 |
| respect and esteem.
