| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Josh Thole of Breese, a left-handed hitting |
| 3 |
| catcher, was drafted by the New York Mets organization in the |
| 4 |
| 13th round of the Major League Baseball Draft; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Thole was the third catcher selected by the |
| 6 |
| Mets and the 32nd overall catcher taken in the draft; he was |
| 7 |
| the 389th pick of the draft; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He has been the hitting star for the Knights over |
| 9 |
| the past three seasons, along with his exploits on the Breese |
| 10 |
| Junior Legion team and the Aviston Senior Legion team; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, As a senior, he lead the Metro-East area in |
| 12 |
| hitting with a .545 batting average, including 10 homers and 40 |
| 13 |
| runs batted in; he walked 23 times on the season while striking |
| 14 |
| out only one time in 95 plate appearances; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The Breese community and the State of Illinois |
| 16 |
| take great pride in the athletic prowess of Josh Thole and the |
| 17 |
| outstanding example of determination and hard work he has set |
| 18 |
| for Illinois' young athletes; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we heartily congratulate Josh Thole on being drafted by the New |
| 22 |
| York Mets organization and extend our sincere best wishes for |
| 23 |
| his continued success; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
