| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Dan Wood was called on August 22, 2004, |
| 3 |
| to serve as Senior Pastor of Fourth Congregational Church; the |
| 4 |
| church conducted a nationwide search to find a pastor who would |
| 5 |
| revive its fledgling congregation; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, On May 14, 2005, the official ecclesiastical |
| 7 |
| council installation service was held; the installation |
| 8 |
| symbolized hope, faith, and restoration, along with renewal; |
| 9 |
| and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Since his arrival at Fourth Congregational |
| 11 |
| Church, Reverend Wood has been very active in the community and |
| 12 |
| has brought the church closer to the community; therefore, be |
| 13 |
| it
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 15 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 16 |
| we congratulate Reverend Dan Wood on his installation as Senior |
| 17 |
| Pastor at Fourth Congregational Church, and we wish him well in |
| 18 |
| his work at the church; and be it further
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 |
| presented to Reverend Wood as an expression of our esteem.
