| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, Robert "Bob" Wilcox retired on May 2, 2005, after |
| 3 |
| over 20 years of exemplary service as Village of Matteson's |
| 4 |
| Fire Chief; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Fire Chief Wilcox was appointed Deputy |
| 6 |
| Administrator/Director of Public Services for the Village of |
| 7 |
| Matteson upon his retirement; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He holds a master's degree in public |
| 9 |
| administration and management; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He served as the Illinois representative in the |
| 11 |
| Great Lakes Division of the International Association of Fire |
| 12 |
| Chiefs, played an active and instrumental role in the |
| 13 |
| International Association of Arson Investigators, the Illinois |
| 14 |
| Fire Chiefs Association, the National Fire Protection |
| 15 |
| Association, and the Fourth District Fire Chiefs Association, |
| 16 |
| and was the past president of the Third District Fire Chiefs |
| 17 |
| Association; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, As a professional consultant, he extended the |
| 19 |
| professional development of others through his motivation and |
| 20 |
| training within the assessment process of Fire and Emergency |
| 21 |
| Service Professionals and aspirants to command positions |
| 22 |
| within the profession; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, The citizens of Matteson are grateful for his |
| 24 |
| accomplishments, dedication to service, and commitment to his |
| 25 |
| profession and leadership within the community; and
|
| 26 |
| WHEREAS, He and his wife, Darlene, have three children, |
| 27 |
| Jason, Janelle, and Danielle, and a granddaughter, Kelsey; |
