| WHEREAS, Cindy Bandle has been called to her eternal reward |

| at the age of 49; and

| WHEREAS, She would have been 50 years old on Halloween in |

| 2005; and
|

| WHEREAS, A resident of Lincoln Park, Cindy Bandle was a |
| 7 |
| longtime champion of Chicago's theater community and was the |
| 8 |
| loving and devoted wife of Alton Miller; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Known for her candor, wit, and genuine affection |
| 10 |
| for Chicago's arts community, Cindy Bandle earned a reputation |
| 11 |
| as a skilled ambassador for the Goodman Theatre, where she had |
| 12 |
| served as its publicist since 1985; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her two decades of able service on |
| 14 |
| behalf of the Goodman Theatre, Cindy Bandle promoted |
| 15 |
| two-hundred productions and worked closely with celebrities, |
| 16 |
| including Carol Burnett, Brian Dennehy, Arthur Miller, Stephen |
| 17 |
| Sondheim, Harold Prince, and David Mamet; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Born in Oklahoma, Cindy Bandle began her career |
| 19 |
| working in her mother's public relations firm in Washington, |
| 20 |
| D.C.; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Cindy Bandle first moved to Chicago in the late |
| 22 |
| 1970s and strongly supported her husband's role as Mayor Harold |
| 23 |
| Washington's press secretary during the 1980s; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace, and charm, Cindy Bandle |
| 25 |
| inspired the lives of countless people through her great |
| 26 |
| personal goodness and constant dedication to Chicago's |
| 27 |
| ever-growing and vibrant arts community; and
