| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Kylie Harby, a Catlin High School senior, was |
| 3 |
| chosen to represent her high school on the Illinois State Board |
| 4 |
| of Education (ISBE) Student Advisory Council; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Harby was one of 20 students from throughout |
| 6 |
| the State chosen to be on the Council; she was chosen because |
| 7 |
| she is an excellent leader and a hard worker; she will be able |
| 8 |
| to continue to develop her leadership role through her |
| 9 |
| membership on the Council; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, She wants to see positive changes for rural |
| 11 |
| schools, as she is aware of the disparity in technology, |
| 12 |
| textbooks, and funding between northern and southern Illinois |
| 13 |
| schools; she looks forward to highlighting that rural schools |
| 14 |
| provide more variety, healthier school lunches, and that |
| 15 |
| students do teacher valuations; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, She attended the ISBE's Student Advisory Council |
| 17 |
| Conference on December 14-15, 2005; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we congratulate Kylie Harby on her appointment to the ISBE |
| 21 |
| Student Advisory Council, and we wish her continuing success in |
| 22 |
| her future endeavors; and be it further
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to Kylie Harby as an expression of our admiration and |
| 25 |
| esteem.
