| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 4 |
| there is created the Pension Funding Task Force, consisting of |
| 5 |
| 7 members as follows: (i) four members appointed by the Speaker |
| 6 |
| of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be selected |
| 7 |
| as chairperson of the task force at the time of appointment; |
| 8 |
| and (ii) three members appointed by the Minority Leader of the |
| 9 |
| House of Representatives; and be it further
|
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That the Task Force must identify, investigate, |
| 11 |
| and recommend to the General Assembly methods for the State to |
| 12 |
| maintain its contributions to the State-funded retirement |
| 13 |
| systems at the levels required under the Illinois Pension Code; |
| 14 |
| the Task Force must hold hearings and must issue a report of |
| 15 |
| its recommendations to the General Assembly on or before |
| 16 |
| December 31, 2006; and be it further
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That Task Force members shall serve without |
| 18 |
| compensation, but may be reimbursed for their reasonable travel |
| 19 |
| expenses from funds available for that purpose; the Commission |
| 20 |
| on Government Forecasting and Accountability shall provide |
| 21 |
| staff and administrative support services to the Task Force; |
| 22 |
| and be it further
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, That the Task Force is abolished on January 15, |
| 24 |
| 2006.
