| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Edna Wolfe has |
| 3 |
| retired from her position as Edwardsville Township Assessor; |
| 4 |
| and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Edna Marie (Sedlacek) Wolfe was born on a farm in |
| 6 |
| Madison County on December 31, 1921; she attended schools in |
| 7 |
| the Edwardsville School District and is a lifelong resident of |
| 8 |
| Madison County; she married Roy D. Wolfe on October 15, 1941; |
| 9 |
| she has three children, Sue Ricker, Alan Wolfe, and Jana Wolfe; |
| 10 |
| one grandchild, Courtney Black; and one great-grandchild, |
| 11 |
| Paige Black; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Wolfe has served as a greeter for the |
| 13 |
| Edwardsville Welcome Wagon, as a Precinct Committee Woman, and |
| 14 |
| as a realtor for Brown Realty; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Wolfe was elected to be township assessor in |
| 16 |
| 1981 and came into office on January 1, 1982; her term expired |
| 17 |
| on December 31, 2005; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, She is a certified Illinois Assessing Officer and |
| 19 |
| is a member of Township Officials of Illinois, the |
| 20 |
| International Association of Assessing Officials, the |
| 21 |
| Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce, the Edwardsville |
| 22 |
| YMCA, the Edwardsville Rotary Club, the Edwardsville Ladies |
| 23 |
| Auxiliary VFW (past president), and St. John's United Methodist |
| 24 |
| Church, where she is coordinator for Sunday School and Youth |
| 25 |
| Group; she is a past president of the Edwardsville-Collinsville |
| 26 |
| Board of Realtors and was Realtor of the Year in 1983; she |
| 27 |
| received the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce |
| 28 |
| Athena Award in April of 1986 and served as president of the |
| 29 |
| Chamber of Commerce in 1987-1988; and
|
| 30 |
| WHEREAS, She was honored for her notable service at a |
