| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Earl Struck, |
| 3 |
| President and CEO of the Association of Illinois Electric |
| 4 |
| Cooperatives (AIEC), is retiring after 27 years with the |
| 5 |
| Association; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, In his position as President and CEO, Mr. Struck |
| 7 |
| directed a staff of professional and support personnel that |
| 8 |
| provide specialized utility service to the 24 not-for-profit |
| 9 |
| electric distribution cooperatives and two generation and |
| 10 |
| transmission cooperatives operating in Illinois; with more |
| 11 |
| than 54,117 miles of line, the Association's members provide |
| 12 |
| electric service to more than 600,000 Illinoisans, located in |
| 13 |
| 86 Illinois counties; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Before assuming responsibilities as the |
| 15 |
| Association's CEO, he was responsible for directing the |
| 16 |
| governmental affairs program for Illinois electric |
| 17 |
| cooperatives at the state and national level; prior to joining |
| 18 |
| the AIEC, he served on the legislative staff of the Illinois |
| 19 |
| Farm Bureau; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Struck is well-known in the State House and is |
| 21 |
| a former Speaker of the Illinois Third House, the organization |
| 22 |
| of all Illinois lobbyists; he has served on a variety of |
| 23 |
| national electric cooperative committees and task forces, as |
| 24 |
| well as several advisory committees to the Illinois General |
| 25 |
| Assembly; he and his wife Sherry reside in Springfield; |
| 26 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 28 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 29 |
| we congratulate Earl Struck on the occasion of his retirement |
| 30 |
| as President and CEO of the Association of Illinois Electric |
| 31 |
| Cooperatives (AIEC); and be it further
