| WHEREAS, The Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet |
| 3 |
| has been selected as the 2006 recipient of the Joliet Region |
| 4 |
| Chamber of Commerce and Industry's "Salute to Accomplishment"; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Each year the Chamber chooses a business in the |
| 7 |
| Joliet region that is a major and quality employer, an |
| 8 |
| outstanding corporate community citizen, and an active member |
| 9 |
| of the Joliet Region Chamber; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The 517-bed Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center is |
| 11 |
| a division of Provena Health, the integrated health care |
| 12 |
| delivery network formed by the merger of Franciscan Sisters |
| 13 |
| Health Care Corporation, ServantCor, and Mercy Center for |
| 14 |
| Health Care Services; Provena Health includes six hospitals, 13 |
| 15 |
| long-term/residential facilities, and over 40 clinics in |
| 16 |
| Illinois and Indiana; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Provena Saint Joseph is the leading provider of |
| 18 |
| high quality, multi-specialty health care for the Will and |
| 19 |
| Grundy County communities; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1882, Provena Saint Joseph Medical |
| 21 |
| Center has a medical staff of more than 400 physicians |
| 22 |
| representing over 50 medical specialties and employs over 2,200 |
| 23 |
| professional, technical, and support personnel; therefore, be |
| 24 |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we congratulate Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet |
| 28 |
| on being honored as the 2006 recipient of the Joliet Region |
