| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Faye E. |
| 3 |
| Terrell-Perkins has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme |
| 4 |
| Court to serve on the Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) |
| 5 |
| Board; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Terrell-Perkins is senior executive director |
| 7 |
| of the Chicago Leadership Academies for Supporting Success |
| 8 |
| which provides professional development opportunities for |
| 9 |
| administrators of the Chicago Public Schools at all stages from |
| 10 |
| the aspiring to the veteran; she was formerly Executive |
| 11 |
| Director of the Leadership Academy and Urban Network for |
| 12 |
| Chicago (LAUNCH), the program that prepares aspiring |
| 13 |
| principals for Chicago Public Schools; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She is a Certified Professional Developer and a |
| 15 |
| National Staff Development Council Academy XIV Graduate; in |
| 16 |
| 2000, she was named a Principal-in-Residence for the Corner |
| 17 |
| School Development Program at Yale University; for six years, |
| 18 |
| she was an elementary school principal; prior to that time, she |
| 19 |
| held administrative positions at the school and central office |
| 20 |
| level; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, She holds a Masters of Arts in Education and was a |
| 22 |
| doctoral candidate in curriculum and instruction at the |
| 23 |
| University of Illinois; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, The MCLE Board was created by the Illinois Supreme |
| 25 |
| Court, with enumerated powers and duties, to administer the new |
| 26 |
| rules for Minimum Continuing Legal Education in Illinois; and
|
| 27 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Terrell-Perkins is the only non-attorney |
| 28 |
| appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to the MCLE Board; her |
| 29 |
| appointment is being acknowledged at a luncheon on Sunday, |
| 30 |
| March 12, 2006; therefore, be it
