| WHEREAS, The Hillsboro High School Lady Hiltoppers girls |

| basketball team won the IHSA Class A State Championship on |

| Saturday, February 25, 2006, at Illinois State University |
| 5 |
| Redbird Arena; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The team defeated Okawville in an exciting game |
| 7 |
| with a score of 44 to 43; they finished the season with a |
| 8 |
| record of 31 wins and 4 losses; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Leading the Hillsboro team are head coach Bret |
| 10 |
| Tuetken and assistant coach Shonda Ronen; the team also had the |
| 11 |
| support of Gary Zerrusen, principal, and Terry Trader, athletic |
| 12 |
| director; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the team are Brooke Beeler, Mallory |
| 14 |
| Zimmerman, Lauren Daniels, Alex Ginos, Ashley Wallace, Sarah |
| 15 |
| Puckett, Stacie Liebscher, Hope Schulte, Blair Cullison, Jenna |
| 16 |
| Young, Katie Homa, Maria Pretnar, and Shan Liddell; therefore, |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we congratulate the Hillsboro High School Lady Hiltoppers girls |
| 21 |
| basketball team on an excellent season and on winning the IHSA |

| Class A State Championship; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to each member and coach of the Lady Hiltoppers and |

| to Hillsboro High School as an expression of our esteem.
