| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestones in the |
| 4 |
| lives of citizens of our State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Norma Morrison of Glenview recently celebrated |
| 6 |
| the 90th anniversary of her birth; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison was the first woman elected to the |
| 8 |
| office of trustee on the North Shore and has served on |
| 9 |
| Glenview's historic preservation commission; with her friend, |
| 10 |
| Henry Hill, she co-founded Citizens Organized for Wagner's, a |
| 11 |
| group that campaigned to save Wagner Farm; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison has also been active in public |
| 13 |
| hearings on plans for a new library and redevelopment of |
| 14 |
| downtown Glenview; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, She was honored for her birthday by Glenview |
| 16 |
| village officials at a reception on Tuesday, March 21, 2006; |
| 17 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we congratulate Ms. Norma Morrison on reaching the |
| 21 |
| distinguished age of 90 years, and we wish her all the best in |
| 22 |
| the future; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to her as an expression of our esteem.
