| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy |
| 3 |
| Scouts of
America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle |
| 4 |
| Scout; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Adam Midden, son of Leo & Ann Midden of |
| 6 |
| Springfield, is a member of Saint Aloysius Boy Scout Troop #53 |
| 7 |
| and will
receive the Eagle Scout Award at a ceremony on Sunday, |
| 8 |
| April 2, 2006;
and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man |
| 10 |
| must
demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a |
| 11 |
| willingness to be of
help to others, and superior skills in |
| 12 |
| camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Adam Midden planned, obtained materials for, and |
| 14 |
| organized volunteers to construct a grotto of the Holy Mother |
| 15 |
| at Saint Aloysius Church in Springfield; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Adam Midden enjoys playing baseball and |
| 17 |
| basketball and watching sports; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Adam Midden joins an |
| 19 |
| elite and
honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among |
| 20 |
| its members an
extraordinary
number of this nation's great |
| 21 |
| leaders in business, government, education,
and other sectors |
| 22 |
| of society; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout |
| 24 |
| reflects favorably
upon the recipient, his justly proud family, |
| 25 |
| his Scoutmaster, and his
fellow scouts; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
