| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The Seneca Fighting Irish boys basketball team |
| 3 |
| recently won the IHSA Class A State Championship; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, The Fighting Irish finished their stellar season |
| 5 |
| with a perfect record of 35 wins and no losses; they beat |
| 6 |
| Chillicothe in the championship game by a score of 47 to 44; |
| 7 |
| and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The team is led by head coach Doug Evans and |
| 9 |
| assistant coaches Jeff Stenzel, Shane Trager, and Nate Nollen; |
| 10 |
| and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The managers of the team are Aaron McKnight, Josh |
| 12 |
| Howardson, and Derek Kemp; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The Fighting Irish are comprised of seniors Tyler |
| 14 |
| Smith, Marty Hetelle, Tim Schmanske, Garrett Callahan, Robert |
| 15 |
| Rexroade, and Nathan Hogue; juniors Seth Hobbs, Travis Misener, |
| 16 |
| Griffan Callahan, Luke Underhill, Steven Pearson, Alex Spicer, |
| 17 |
| and Nick Andreatta; sophomore Ben Paulsen; and freshman Seth |

| Evans; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we congratulate the Seneca Fighting Irish boys basketball team |
| 22 |
| on their incredible season and on winning the IHSA Class A |
| 23 |
| State Championship; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to each member and coach of the Fighting Irish as an |

| expression of our esteem.
