| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, Mary O'Sullivan, Principal of Park School in |
| 3 |
| Orland Park, is retiring June 30, 2006 after almost 30 years of |
| 4 |
| distinguished service to Orland School District 135; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She has served many roles with the District, |
| 6 |
| beginning in September 1977 at Park School as a 7th Grade |
| 7 |
| Teacher; in 1983 she moved to High Point School teaching 4th |
| 8 |
| Grade; in 1991 she served as Curriculum Assistant at Centennial |
| 9 |
| School and in 1992 she began work as an Instructional Services |
| 10 |
| Assistant; in 1994 she became the Principal of Park School |
| 11 |
| holding that position for the past 12 years; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. O'Sullivan has 3 sons, Mark, Michael, and |
| 13 |
| Kevin; and 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Sean, Thomas, and Tara; |
| 14 |
| and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, As a Teacher, Curriculum Assistant, Instructional |
| 16 |
| Services Assistant, and Principal, Mrs. O'Sullivan has been a |
| 17 |
| dedicated and tireless advocate for excellence in education for |
| 18 |
| nearly 3 decades; her commitment to the students, parents, and |
| 19 |
| community of Orland Park will be missed; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we congratulate Mary O'Sullivan on her outstanding |
| 23 |
| contributions to the education of young people and wish her the |
| 24 |
| very best in his retirement and future endeavors; and be it |
| 25 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Mrs. O'Sullivan as an expression of our utmost |
| 28 |
| admiration and esteem.
