| WHEREAS, Pastor Walstone Elisha Francis will celebrate his |
| 3 |
| 14th anniversary as pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church of Waukegan |
| 4 |
| this year; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, A native of Naussau, Bahamas, Pastor Francis was |
| 6 |
| called to pastor Shiloh Baptist Church of Waukegan on January |
| 7 |
| 8, 1992; he assumed the pastorate on Sunday, March 1, 1992, and |
| 8 |
| on Sunday, May 3, 1992, he was officially installed as pastor |
| 9 |
| by Dr. Earle Francis and Pastor Wellington Johnson; he became a |
| 10 |
| United States citizen in 1994; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He is currently an instructor for Sister Theresa |
| 12 |
| B. Stackhouse Leadership School, Baptist General State |
| 13 |
| Congress of Christian Education, and the Congress of Christian |
| 14 |
| Education of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; he is |
| 15 |
| also a volunteer chaplain; Fourth Vice-president and Chairman |
| 16 |
| of Foreign Missions for the Baptist General Convention of |
| 17 |
| Illinois; an adult writer for the Sunday School Publishing |
| 18 |
| Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; and |
| 19 |
| organizer and moderator of the Lake Shore Baptist District in |
| 20 |
| Waukegan and the vicinity; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, During his pastorate at Shiloh, he has crowned |
| 22 |
| seven deacons, six in Shiloh; licensed ten ministers, seven in |
| 23 |
| Shiloh; and has ordained six preachers to the gospel ministry, |
| 24 |
| three in Shiloh; and
|
| 25 |
| WHEREAS, Pastor Francis is renowned and highly regarded in |
| 26 |
| the Christian ministry as a pastor, preacher, and teacher of |
| 27 |
| the gospel; and
|
| 28 |
| WHEREAS, He is married to Mrs. Angelica Rene Otey Williams; |
| 29 |
| they are the parents of one son, one daughter, and four adopted |
| 30 |
| children, and the proud grandparents of five; therefore, be it
|
