| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Senior |
| 4 |
| Airman Jason Bechel of Wood River on Sunday, April 30, 2006; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was serving in the United States Air Force as |
| 7 |
| an aircraft maintainer with the 52nd Equipment Maintenance |
| 8 |
| Squadron, stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He was serving his second tour of duty with the |
| 10 |
| U.S. Air Force and was preparing to spend a lifetime with the |
| 11 |
| woman he loved; he was to be married in about two weeks; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Airman Bechel graduated in January 1998 from East |
| 13 |
| Alton-Wood River High School, where he played baseball; he |
| 14 |
| remained in the area for several years before joining the Air |
| 15 |
| Force in April 2001; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He loved being in the U.S. Air Force and loved |
| 17 |
| serving his country; he always seemed to be in good spirits and |
| 18 |
| never let anything bother him; he enjoyed working out, |
| 19 |
| kickboxing, and playing softball; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Airman Jason Bechel has been deeply |
| 21 |
| felt by many, especially his fiancee, Lea Subinova; his |
| 22 |
| parents, Larry and Betty Bechel; his sisters, Heidi Bechel and |
| 23 |
| Tonya Bechel; his niece, Brittni Bechel; his nephew, Tristen |
| 24 |
| Bechel; and his grandmother, Ida Helmkamp; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 26 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 27 |
| we mourn the passing of Senior Airman Jason Bechel, and we |
| 28 |
| extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who |
| 29 |
| knew and loved him; and be it further
