| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the |
| 3 |
| cornerstones upon
which our society is built, and a marriage |
| 4 |
| that has achieved a notable
longevity is truly a model for the |
| 5 |
| people of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Richard and |
| 7 |
| Susan Roman recently celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary |
| 8 |
| of their
marriage; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Richard and Susan were united in
holy matrimony on |
| 10 |
| May 22, 1981, at St. Catherine Laboure in Glenview; they are |
| 11 |
| the loving parents of Angela Roman and Dominic Roman; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Roman is the Chairman and CEO of The Signature |
| 13 |
| Room Entertainment Group and is owner/operator of The Signature |
| 14 |
| Room at the 95th and The Signature Lounge, the coveted |
| 15 |
| restaurant and lounge atop the John Hancock Center; he serves |
| 16 |
| as the Chairman of the Greater North Michigan Avenue |
| 17 |
| Association and is a board member of the National Restaurant |
| 18 |
| Association; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Richard and Susan stand as examples of the best of |
| 20 |
| our
society, and their love and devotion to each other and to |
| 21 |
| their family and
friends serve as a reminder to all that hard |
| 22 |
| work, dedication, and love can
make a difference in today's |
| 23 |
| world; therefore, be it
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 25 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 26 |
| we congratulate Richard and Susan Roman on the occasion of |
| 27 |
| their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, and we commend them for |
| 28 |
| achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children and |
| 29 |
| rich in friendships; and be it further
