| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Carol Gorman on |
| 4 |
| the occasion of her retirement; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gorman started her career with the IRS on |
| 6 |
| August 11, 1969, when she was just 17 years old; her first |
| 7 |
| position was as a GS-2 clerk typist; she worked her way through |
| 8 |
| the ranks and held several positions during her career, |
| 9 |
| retiring as a GS-12 Systems Manager after more than 37 years of |
| 10 |
| government service; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She has been an avid bowler and golfer, |
| 12 |
| participating in many fundraising golf tournaments, including |
| 13 |
| tournaments to raise money for breast cancer research; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She has worked many hours every year, before, |
| 15 |
| during, and after the annual St. Boniface Church picnic and is |
| 16 |
| currently a bingo caller at the church's quilt bingo held |
| 17 |
| during the picnic; she is also a member and two time past |
| 18 |
| President of the St. Boniface Altar Sodality; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gorman has worked countless hours every year |
| 20 |
| for over 30 years at the annual Germantown Spassfest; the local |
| 21 |
| fund raiser helps support the village parks and other |
| 22 |
| organizations in the community; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, During retirement, she and her husband, Sam, plan |
| 24 |
| on spending winters in Arizona in their new home and traveling |
| 25 |
| during summer and fall in their motor home; therefore, be it
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 27 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 28 |
| we congratulate Carol Gorman on the occasion of her retirement; |
