| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois wish to honor Dave Foreman on the occasion of |
| 4 |
| his retirement from the position of president of the Associated |
| 5 |
| Fire Fighters of Illinois on February 7, 2006; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was the 6th president of the Associated Fire |
| 7 |
| Fighters of Illinois, serving in the position for the last 18 |
| 8 |
| years; he served the AFFI for the past 28 years in the |
| 9 |
| positions of Vice President-At-Large, President, and President |
| 10 |
| Emeritus; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He spent the past 35 years with the Joliet Fire |
| 12 |
| Department as Fire Fighter, Fire Apparatus Operator, |
| 13 |
| Lieutenant, and finally Captain; he began his fire fighting |
| 14 |
| career with the Lockport Fire Department in 1969; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He also spent much of his free time serving his |
| 16 |
| fellow fire fighters with the Joliet Fire Fighters Local 44, |
| 17 |
| Joliet Fire Officers Local 2369, and the Joliet Pension Board; |
| 18 |
| and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, He has been appointed to the position of Illinois |
| 20 |
| State Fire Marshall; therefore, be it
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 22 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 23 |
| we congratulate Dave Foreman on the occasion of his retirement |
| 24 |
| from the AFFI, and we wish him well in his future endeavors; |
| 25 |
| and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to Mr. Foreman as an expression of our respect and |
| 28 |
| esteem.
